In the middle of this past (crazy!) week, I jotted this breakfast psalm in my journal. The familiar truths brought focus and reassurance as we scrambled to recover from a bout with sickness in time to accompany our daughter on her first college tour! ~

Trust in the LORD and do good …

Take delight in the LORD and He will give you the desires of your heart.

Commit everything you do to the LORD … trust Him, and He will help you.

Be still in the presence of the LORD and wait patiently for Him to act. …

The LORD directs the steps of those who trust Him. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand.

Psalm 37:3, 4, 5, 7, 23-24

(our Valentine’s Day was overshadowed by the flu this year  … so we are enjoying our “happy hearts decor” a little longer)
