Hello, Held and Beloved online study friends . . . and happy Monday!
This week we will take a look at CHAPTER ONE. As you have time on your own, read through the chapter and the accompanying Bible passages. Keep a notebook handy to jot down anything that touches your heart, encourages you, or leaves you with questions.
As the LORD leads you, share your thoughts below! It is amazing to see how He can guide our “conversations” to help each other make new discoveries of His truth and His heart.

• CHAPTER ONE •
“the One with whom nothing is impossible: blessed is she who believes”
Brief summary: Beyond human comprehension and the laws of physical science, Sarah and Elizabeth experienced GOD fulfilling His impossible promise to each of them – bearing a son from a barren body beyond child-bearing years. The author’s own mother experienced a personal miracle from GOD, beyond explanation, when her baby’s life was spared from the devastating impact of a rare blood vessel tumor. The LORD revealed Himself to each as the One with whom nothing is impossible!

SARAH
(Genesis 12:1-9, 16:1-6, 17:15-19, 18:9-15, 21:1-7)
What in Sarah’s story would have challenged you the most?
What do you think the LORD most wanted Sarah to know about Him?
ELIZABETH
(Luke 1-2)
What was unique about the path the LORD asked Elizabeth to walk?
What did Elizabeth recognize as the LORD’s kindness to her?
OVERALL
What promises has GOD given to *you* personally?
In what ways has He stretched the known physical/medical limits to do the “impossible” in your life? to make Himself real to you?
Now to Him who is able
to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine,
according to His power
that is at work within us.
