Over the past few days, anticipating another LORD’s Day morning, these snippets of oldie-but-goodie hymns have occupied my thoughts:

My mind scrambles to picture it: the throngs of heaven bowing low, hands and hearts lifted high, singing “ALLELUJAH, glory be to our great GOD!” … “worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive all honor and blessing and glory and power, forever!”

We long for that day! We can’t begin to comprehend how that scene will flood our souls to overflowing, leaving us truly astounded and humbled and honored and awe-struck. What will it be like to join in full agreement with our heartiest AMENs and ALLELUJAHs to Almighty Triune GOD?!

This morning, could we pause to realize we have the opportunity on any given day, at any given moment, but especially as we gather around the LORD’s table, to join in that chorus 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐰?

Maybe we can quiet our hearts in this moment. Imagine being in glory, face to face with our Savior, and simply allow our hearts to respond, lost in wonder and worship!
