At the beginning of a prayer call yesterday, the question was posed: “how’s the battle going?”
My mind quickly drifted to these few verses:
𝘞𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘯 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘴, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘤𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥. 𝘞𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘹𝘦𝘥, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘢𝘪𝘳. 𝘞𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘩𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘎𝘖𝘋. 𝘞𝘦 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘺𝘦𝘥.
(𝟐 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟒:𝟕-𝟗)
What comfort to find another set of verses to reassure my heart of why all of the above is true!
𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘐 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘠𝘰𝘶. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘨𝘶𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘮𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘭, 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘢 𝘨𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘺. 𝘞𝘩𝘰𝘮 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘐 𝘪𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘠𝘰𝘶? 𝘐 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘳𝘦 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩. 𝘔𝘺 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘭, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘬. 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘎𝘖𝘋 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘺 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵; 𝘏𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳.
(𝐏𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐦 𝟕𝟑:𝟐𝟑-𝟐𝟔)
𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘖𝘙𝘋 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘨𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘵𝘩.
(𝟐 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝟒:𝟏𝟕)
I pray this breakfast “psalm” will touch and encourage our hearts.
The battle may be fierce and relentless, but our strength from the LORD will never fail. He will stand by us.
