treasures from 2020 (2 of 9): radiant with JOY

It is sweet to revisit this post on another chilly morning in south Florida … thankful for a breath of fresh air, for body and soul!

from February 2020:

It’s a blustery day here, dropping our temps 20-30 degrees!!! It is a joy to get cozy inside with hot tea and His words in the quiet of this morning, as the sun casts its rays through the trees – like His truth filtering through the tangle of my days to brighten my heart. I hope you will feel the same as you enjoy today’s breakfast psalms . .

“LORD, don’t hold back Your tender mercies from me.

Let Your unfailing love and faithfulness always protect me.

May all who search for You be filled with joy and gladness in You.

May those who love Your salvation continually shout, “the LORD is great!”

As for me, I am poor and needy, let the LORD keep me in His thoughts.

You are my Helper and my Savior. …

You are my GOD, my only safe haven.

Send out Your light and Your truth. Let them guide me.”

Psalm 40:11, 16-17, Psalm 42:3

. . .

“Whom have I in heaven but You?

And there is none upon the earth I desire besides You.

My flesh and my heart may fail

but GOD is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. …

Let all who are helpless take heart.

Come, let us tell of the LORD’s greatness.

Let us exalt His Name together.

Those who look to Him for help will be radiant with joy;

no shadow of shame will darken their faces!”

Psalm 73:25-26, Psalm 34:2-5
