During December when daylight is sparse and I feel a bit weary from the demands of a long year (especially this year!), it is not difficult for me to tap into the ache of longing for our Savior to come! His faithful ones held onto promises of His coming for hundreds of years, with little to clarify the exact timing of their Messiah’s arrival.
Then one lonely night on a shepherds’ hillside, the sky broke open into brilliant LIGHT and great news rang out that is was time! “The Savior – yes, the Messiah, the LORD – has been born tonight in Bethlehem, the city of David!”
There are many wondrous blessings we have received as those long-awaited events in GOD’s eternal plan began to unfold. For today’s breakfast “psalm,” it is a joy to gather these few verses that rejoice in our Prince of PEACE! . . . 🌿
