hours ticked by

fighting for sleep

checking the numbers again

and praying

again

neck and neck the whole way

our country truly divided

equal parts

how can we be whole?

I pray for graciousness

gentle reasonableness

humility

kindness

courage

to ask good questions

genuine desire to understand another’s heart

willingness to really listen

to fight for a path forward that honors both sides

is it possible?

praying for wisdom

Divine direction

none of this is easy

but it is worth the effort

trusting His hand to lead, provide, protect
