These precious words washed over me this morning, balm to my soul that sometimes feels tossed about from every direction, weary and worn.

Praying today’s breakfast psalm will touch and strengthen your heart too!

Oh, how great is Your goodness!

You have stored up great blessings

for those who honor You.

You have done so much for those

who come to You for protection,

blessing them before the watching world.

You hide them in the secret place

of Your Presence,

safe from those who conspire against them.

You shelter them in Your Presence,

far from the strife of tongues.

PSALM 31:19-20

The one thing I ask of the LORD –

the thing I seek most –

is to live in the house of the LORD

all the days of my life,

delighting in the LORD’s perfections

and meditating in His temple.

For He will conceal me there

when troubles come;

He will hide me in His sanctuary.

He will place me out of reach

on a high rock.

Then I will hold my head high . . .

in His dwelling place I will offer sacrifices

with shouts of joy,

singing and praising the LORD

with music.
