they were born on the same day

into different families

hundreds of miles apart

sixth grade was a hard year for both of them

but one that brought them together

the LORD had plans all along

to knit their hearts as sisters

especially now when their paths seldom cross

they still find each other

to mark milestones together

one likes purple, one likes blue

both are full of smiles

as they celebrate this turning of the page

closing one chapter, beginning anew

choosing that no matter how often or rare

their favorite place is TOGETHER
