what I’m reading this summer

Here is a little peek at the short stack from the cozy spot in my reading/writing nook:

THE GIFT OF LIMITATIONS by Sara Hagerty

This is my second read through the best thing Sara has written to date. This time I am savoring it slowly, a page or two at a time. Her writing is so real and relatable. She offers so much good food for thought, drawing me nearer to the heart of GOD – who tenderly guides me to treasure His purposed place for me rather than wrestle against it!

UPON WAKING by Jackie Hill Perry

This 60-day daily devotional is taking me months to read because she goes deep and speaks truth that makes me think. Her words draw my heart to ache for full alignment with the LORD. She freely confesses her own struggles and temptations, but adamantly declares, “I simply love GOD more than these.” Wow.

A SHEPHERD LOOKS AT PSALM 23 by W. Phillip Keller

This is my second pass through this one too. The first time, I couldn’t put it down. Now I want to slowly consider so many wonderful thoughts about our Shepherd, who cares for us intimately and so comprehensively. He will go to any length necessary to draw us nearer to Himself, to secure our safety and nurture our growth. 🌿

** Friends, what are you reading this summer? I’d love to add great reads to my pile! **
