Here are a few thoughts about my favorite podcast this year:
RUN TO THE HARD: Michal Christopher’s story
. . .
I met Michal through a mutual friend, on Facebook. We will never sit across the table to share a cup of coffee and unburden our hearts this side of glory. In His perfect plan, the LORD called Michal home to heaven at the young age of 43, before we had the chance to meet in person. But, she has deeply impacted my heart and my life!

Hers was not an easy path, harder than most people ever knew. Her contagious smile carried a more powerful, courageous story than she allowed most people to see. She was a mighty overcomer because the LORD granted her strength to become familiar with but not defeated by pain. Only He knew the hardest, bravest moments she faced with His help. He was incredibly honored, and we continue to be incredibly inspired by her unshakable confidence in Him!
Despite heartbreaking challenges, she was a walking fireball of exuberant joy, deeply invested in every person she ever laid eyes on! Her story is an unforgettable testimony of a wife and mother who always taught her husband and kids to fearlessly “RUN to THE HARD,” for that is where they will meet JESUS. Knowing Him dearly is worth more than anything else in this world.
Her husband, Curtis Christopher, is now working with a friend to record a compelling podcast series named in honor of her earnest plea, “RUN to THE HARD.” In these recordings, Curtis shares his own journey of falling in love with Michal’s heart, of embracing to the fullest the few short years they enjoyed as a married couple, and the massive beauty through the brokenness of loss and sorrow – all drawing him and anyone who will listen to run to JESUS, to know Him, to love Him, and to trust Him. For He is worthy and He is faithful! The hardest days can offer us the most stunning glimpses of GOD’s heart.
Listen in and be deeply moved – drawn to the Savior, to His tender care that walks us through our most devastating heartaches, and to His love that compels us to trust His plan and His heart wherever He leads us.
